  • Documentary Film Looking for Artists

    By Guest |

Independent musicians looking for a shot at fame are invited to contact the producers of an upcoming feature documentary for possible inclusion in the film.

The film entitled "Garage Bands" seeks to dish up cutting edge music overlooked by the commercial recording industry, and chronicle the story behind the artists.

All unsigned musicians are invited to submit material. Artists may be of any age, sex, nationality. Solo acts, as well as bands, are eligible. All new and original material, regardless of genre, will be considered.

A maximum of 30 bands/artists will be selected to appear in the film. Shooting will begin February 2002, and the world-wide release date is scheduled for autumn 2002.

Interested artists may submit a maximum of 3 unique songs on a cassette tape or CD. Submissions must include a short bio, a cover letter explaining they ought to appear in the film, and contact information, including address, telephone number and (if possible) e-mail. Deadline for material is December 3rd 2001.

Artists who appear in the film will not be paid. No prizes will be awarded. No "reality" TV series will be "spun" off. Artists will retain copyright to their works. Additional information may be obtained by mail or by visiting www.indymusicsearch.com.

Written inquiries and completed submissions should be mailed to:
