Cubase VST 24/4.0 Has Been Released

With Steinberg's Virtual Studio Technology (VST) recordings can be shaped with up to 4 bands of brand new hi-end EQ per channel for maximum dynamic range and subtle sound design. The VST Mixer has been expanded with four PlugIn inserts per channel, plus 8 Aux sends for addressing up to 8 effects or PlugIns in the Aux Effects rack. The master section offers bussing to the individual outputs of a wide range of supported digital audio cards like the Korg 1212, Sonorus STUD I/O, Lexicon Studio, Yamaha DSP Factory etc.
Other new features include:
- Internal resolution increased to 15360 pulses per quarter note (ppgn) for accurate, sample precise cutting of audio segments.
- Controller Editor for detailed editing of parameters.
- MIDI-Track mixer Drag & Drop throughout the entire program for both audio parts and MIDI-events.
- Major upgrade to the scoring section which includes enhanced layout options, symbol palettes, new ways of inputting lyrics, choice of notation styles, plus a variety of preferences to be set up in advance.
Availability and shipping: Cubase VST/24 4.0 for MAC will be available at Steinberg dealers in the United States in July 1998.
Updates: Users may update from any version of Cubase Audio XT/VST to Cubase VST/24 4.0 for $99 directly from Steinberg.
Upgrades: Users may upgrade from Cubase VST to Cubase VST/24 for $199 ($400 price difference) or from Cubase Score VST to Cubase VST/24 for $125 ($250 price difference), directly from Steinberg.
Competitive Upgrade thru Dealers: $249 to upgrade to Cubase VST/24 4.0 from Studio Vision, Digital Performer, Logic Audio or any other qualifying program.
