New from Behringer are the EUROPOWER EP1500 (USD 379.99 MSRP) and the EUROPOWER EP2500 (USD 439.99 MSRP), the company's first-ever power amplifiers. The 2-channel amps can operate both in parallel or bridged mono modes and feature an independent limiter for each channel, selectable low-frequency filters, high-current TOROID transformers and TOSHIBA/FAIRCHILD high-power transistors, these power amps.

The EUROPOWER EP1500 yields 2 x 700 Watts into 2 Ohms and 1,400 Watts into 4 Ohms in mono bridged mode, while the EP2500 model provides 2 x 1,200 Watts into 2 Ohms and 2,400 Watts into 4 Ohms in mono bridged mode. For extra reliability, each amp is equipped with a "back-to-front" ventilation system, including an air filter with automatically adjustable fan speed and balanced XLR and 1/4" TRS inputs. Signal and clip LED indicators help monitor performance. Connection options for multiple amps in parallel operation provide flexibility.

Shipping is expected in Q3 2003.
