At the Winter NAMM show, Behringer announced the TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC200 (USD 59.99 MSRP), the second in a series of vacuum tube preamplifiers intended as sound-enhancing tool for studio, live and hard disk recording. The TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC200 is expected to ship in the second quarter of 2004.

Each TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC200 is equipped with a hand-selected 12AX7 vacuum tube with UTC technology for exceptional warmth, lowest noise and signal integrity. In addition, the TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC200 features preamp modeling technology that allows the user to quickly optimize recordings and choose between 16 preamp voicings.

The TUBE ULTRAGAIN MIC200 features an output limiter that prevents signal distortion, while a dedicated low cut filter eliminates unwanted noise such as floor rumble. With its phase reverse function, +48 V phantom power supply, a highly accurate 8-segment LED level meter and a 20 dB pad function, the MIC200 offers outstanding performance, accuracy and utmost flexibility. Balanced inputs and outputs on 1/4" TRS and gold-plated XLR connectors complete its competent feature set.

This microphone preamp may be used as a preamp for instruments ranging from electric and bass guitars to keyboards and percussion.
