TASCAM announced MX-OS 3.10 along with an update for both Mac and PC versions of the powerful MX-View waveform editing software for the MX-2424. This free software upgrade adds new features and functions to the MX-2424, including Pencil Tool Editing and advanced crossfades and like previous updates they are available as free downloads from the TASCAM web site at www.tascam.com.

MX-OS v3.10 for the MX-2424 features improved time-code functionality including Flywheel, Chase Re-lock, and Re-lock Threshold for dealing with less than ideal time-code situations in the field. The new release also increases the number of memory registers from 100 to 255.

The new MX-View v1.40 now features a pencil tool for sample level cleaning up of clicks and pops, multiple machine consecutive track numbering support, the ability to target edit commands to specific machines in multi-machine mode and batch file transfer capabilities via Ethernet. This update also includes logarithmic and exponential cross-fades support, event copy/paste for non-contiguous selections, "Track Lock" which is a track level protection function that eliminates accidental editing or recording, and numerous keyboard and user-interface improvements.
