The DVD includes a variety of topics, from clave and tumbao, to songo, guaguanco, and Afro-Cuban 6/8, to cha-cha-cha and even Mozambique. Performance content enhances the appeal, with performances by guitarist Wayne Krantz and keyboardist Bill O'Connell, plus brand-new footage of Lincoln and Robby from a 2006 performance/clinic at The Collective in New York City.

Robby Ameen and Lincoln Goines bring to life a rhythm all their own. Drummer Robby Ameen has made a life study of Afro-Cuban rhythms and his own powerful drumming style to create a highly-organized jazz/funk/Afro-Cuban amalgam. Robby's ability to complement a rhythm section can be heard on numerous recordings with Ruben Blades, Paul Simon, and many others, and he is currently working with the El Negro and Robby Band and his own power trio, Overproof. A mainstay of the New York City Latin/jazz-funk/studio scene, bassist Lincoln Goines has recorded and performed with an extensive list of artists, including Sonny Rollins, Gato Barbieri, and many more. He is also an author, composer, and music educator.
