Los Angeles, CA — March 26, 2012 - Alfred Music Publishing, the world leader in educational print music publishing since 1922, releases Grand One-Hand Solos for Piano, Books 1 – 3, a new series of one-hand pieces, written in a variety of styles, keys, meters, and tempos, by Melody Bober.

Grand One-Hand Solos for Piano, Books 1 – 3 offer  teachers and students a means to enjoy the musical experience of  one-hand playing through vibrant and exciting solos. Carefully graded,  the solos in the books are perfect for piano students with an injured arm or hand, giving them the opportunity to continue  their piano studies in spite of their injury. Each solo focuses on  providing a unique way to develop the other hand while still progressing  technically and musically. Optional teacher duet parts provide harmonic support and make the experience of playing with  one hand fun and interactive. Book 1 (six solos) is written for early  elementary students, Book 2 (eight solos) for elementary students, and  Book 3 (eight solos) for late-elementary students. Half of the solos in each book are for the right hand and half are for  the left hand.

Melody Bober is known for composing pieces that promote the students’  pursuit of learning and passion for music. In addition to teaching piano  in her private studio, Melody's music-teaching experience includes 20  years of public school and two years at the university level. She is also an active church pianist and accompanist. A  dynamic clinician, Melody Bober is in great demand at conventions and  workshops for piano teachers across North America. The Melody Bober  Library also includes Grand Solos for Piano, Books 1 – 6, Grand Duets for Piano, Books 1 – 6, and Grand Trios for Piano, Books 1 – 4

Grand One-Hand Solos for Piano, Books 1 – 3
