Like it was said earlier, replacing pickups because of some reviews you've read is a bad idea. Like anything in music, these are just opinions, and shouldn't be taken as fact. These pickups may be average to someone else, but they might be just right for you. I think you should play the hell out of the pups you have now, and maybe further on down the line, when you've learned some more songs and are starting to develop your own sound, then you can start asking yourself if there are any pickups out there that can sound more like you.
