  1. It's one of Fender's "California Series II" acoustics produced in Korea between 1985 and 1992. The six-tuners-on-a-side Strat style headstock appeals to some lovers of Fender electrics, but these guitars really aren't worth more than they were new. I bought new a Fender Redondo acoustic in '88-'89, which is a similar guitar but without a cutaway, with a natural finish and electronics that were added later. Mine's all solid wood, it sounds woody but a little dull. They're OK to decent starter guitars, nothing more. They will likely never be collectible or worth much. The original Fender American-made "California Series" acoustics of the '60s/early '70s rarely fetch more than $400 on eBay. I still like the six-on-a-side tuners idea, since I play a Telecaster. But I've discovered the tonal difference in higher-end guitars, so the Redondo rarely gets played.
