Members guictr
Hi, I'm looking for a new guitar and found those two that fit my budget. Here are the specs: Schecter: -Construction: Set-Neck w/Ultra Access -Body Material: Mahogany -Top Material: Quilted Maple -Top Contour: Arched Top -Neck Material: Maple 3-pc -Fretboard Material: Rosewood -Scale: 25.5” (648mm) -Frets: 24 X-Jumbo -Bridge Pickup: EMG 81 -Neck Pickup: EMG 85 -Bridge: Tune-O-Matic w/ String Thru Body -Tuners: Grover Washburn: -Mahogany Body -Quilted maple carved top -String thru body -Tune-o-matic bridge -24 jumbo frets -Mahogany set-in neck -25.5" Scale -Seymour Duncan '59 reissue pickup in neck -Seymour Duncan Custom Custom pickup in bridge -3-way toggle switch -Rosewood fingerboard -Exclusive Grover 18:1 gear ratio tuners -Buzz Feiten Tuning System A few considerations: I've never had a guitar with active pickups, but i don't believe it will be a problem. The Schecter is basically the Damien 6 without those weird bats on the neck.I haven't found out where the Washburn has been made, but the Schecter is Korean. The Washburn guitar comes with a bag. Here in Brazil I can get them for similar prices, but I've noticed that in US dollars they are pretty differently prices. I've read some Washburn guitar reviews and people seems to like it very much. If someone could help I'd be really appreciated . PS: After hearing a lot of EMGs and Duncans on Youtube I started to realize the famous compressed tone of the active ones and it's making me lean back to Washburn guitar. I don't know, it feels like that if I get the Schecter one I'll be a prisioner to chunky riffs. Am I being stupid on that?
