    I just tuned my guitar down an octave to C, I have not even slinkies on it

      Wouldn't an octave be to a lower E?

      Having a low C or drop-C is semi-common. Fripp's NST uses a low C, I believe.

        No, my tuning is c standard 3 steps and 1 octave below regular pitch
