Members Kolinopin
Hi, I just bought a Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Wah jh-1b(the Crome rocker NOT the all black jh-1d) off e-bay brand new. I was excited to get this jh-1b because it looks like the real chrome authentic Italian version look from the '60s. I plugged it up and used the clean channel 1st which sounded great and very close to the Thomas Organ Company's tone and then the lead Channel sounded okay aswell. But then I put a Fulltone '70s fuzz box(and The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face, overdrive(s) and other high gain pedals) after the guitar in the chain and it was sounding great until I noticed that when the rocker was heel down it sounded very high pitched. It almost sounds like a Digitech Whammy Pedal octave up setting when it's rocker is in heel down position. Is this normal?
Members cryptosonic
Totally normal. If you're lucky you can tune the pitch of the oscillations with the wah treadle. There are several DIY buffers on the net that will fix you up, although personally I like the oscillations for weirdness.
