Members JimH
I've been thinking about getting a decimator - but I've also been thinking about getting a THD Hotplate - which apparently has noise reduction (I've already got a PowerBrake that doesn't) - I'm not massively noisy as it is, but I don't like the digital tinkle I get from my, RV2 when not playing. Plus I sometimes get feedback whilst holding notes before I really want it. Will the Hotplate do the trick? - as I could kill 2 birds with one stone there. I realise the sensible thing is to get the hotplate and see - but I'm not convinced how much of an improvement it will be over the powerbrake in terms of attenuation - but decent noise reduction would be a deal breaker. (My amp's a non-master plexi type thing - no FX loop, whcih I use with an OD pedal)
Members rig-talk.com
The "noise reduction" in the HotPlate pretty much does nothing, so that won't help you. Go with a pedal.
Members riffpowers
I wouldn't bother with the hotplate.I've got one and I didn;t know/ haven't noticed any noise reduction.
