i play through a peavey 5150 head. the setup was working fine, then after a smoke break outside, i went back in to turn off the standby button, and a hideous crackling noise was going on, and no real sound from my guitar was coming through at all. i plugged our bassist's amp into the speakers, and got nothing. then i again plugged the same solidstate amp into a pair of very old traylor speakers, and it worked fine through those speakers, but not my marshall cab. i tried replacing preamp tubes, but all the tubes glow and seem to work, but i am afraid to plug my peavey 5150 into the traylor speakers because i don't know what ohms they are.

basically i think that there is a problem with my speaker cabinet. i've even tried to replace the speaker cable, and got nothing. any ideas? THANKS@!!!!
