Members josh.sheffield
Excuse the neophyte questioning regimen, but I've never really done rack stuff before...mostly either AMP/CAB/PBoard or a Line6 XT or HD500 to PA...so here's what I'm wanting... A decent head (dr. z, something fender, etc.) Effects rack (Axe-FX, etc.) that can then be "lined out" to either the PA or to a recording interface. I'm pretty sure I'd need a speaker simulator or something in between the head and the interface/PA... Any ideas or is this just a bonehead idea? Members Crownman
A rack unit is the same thing as the two floor units you listed, just in a rack instead of on the floor. If you're only running direct and not to an amp on stage just use a y connector and send one to the pa and the other to the interface.
