  • TRI- LED Par Can questions

    Is ONE of these:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-BAR-TRI-CHAUVET-NEW-4BAR-TRI-PARCAN-CHAUVET-LED-WITH-STAND-/280938938102?pt=US_Stage_Lighting_Single_Units&has h=item416943fef6

    ....as bright as this?:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chauvet-SlimPar-Tri7-IRC-3W-Low-Profile-LED-Par-Can-BRAND-NEW-/230760676930?pt=US_DJ_Lighting_Single_Units&hash=i tem35ba687e42

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question.

I am guessing that if I were to take out one of the CHAUVET 4 Bar unit and put it side by side with the Latter....it will be the same brightness?...cos each each PAR CAN has 7 x 3w.

    Am I right?

If you read the specifications, you'll see that the 4 Bar Tri offers an output of 1,869 per pod where as the Slimpar Tri7 outputs only 1,073.  The 4 Bar has four pods making it substantially brighter as well as the ability to deploy more than one color at a time.

Bill...thanks for the advice! I am pretty hopeless with specifications...I'm afraid. Guess it's a girl thing :-(

If all you have is 2 people and if they aren't too mobile, 1 fixture per person would be perfectly fine.
