The goal is for my bro to get a rig to amplify his electric drum set. He wants to be able to carry small-medium bar or club rooms without pa support, have enough sound for outdoor gigs, as well as for stage monitoring when there is a pa. Now I know this isn't much but his budget is $1000, maybe able to go slightly over that if need be. FWIW he's debating whether or not he needs to have stereo capability, as the drum module does do stereo. So, what would you guys suggest? Appreciate any input... Members gonzobassman Posted January 31, 2010 Members Share Posted January 31, 2010 A stereo mixer and 2 of the powered 15s that are out there.I jammed with a drummer that used Behringer powered 15s in this application and as much as I hate to admit it,the sound was excellent.Running a stereo mixer,and panning everything dead center gives a line to drive the powered speakers,and a feed to the FOH board so he can do a room without reinforcment if need be.
