Logic with 2 Midi Controllers

Heres the deal.

 

I want to do a jam session with friend.

 

 

We both have midi controlers and we have a multi midi box plugged into logic.

 

We want to each be able to play our midi controller and control seperate softsynths and record each of our parts on seperate tracks in logic.

 

The question, how do we do this?

Go into each individual track with a softsynth loaded and change the midi channel. One controller can play synths on Midi channel 1 and another can play on 2.
