Members bigfonk
Hello all,I've been a devout Roland SP-808 user for years, since it came out. I own 3 of them. What I love about it is the d-beam to control effects (like long dub delays) and pitch. However, I am sick of the zip discs, the inconvenience of file management, and the cumbersome backup via scsi, and the size of the unit. What is a good sampler to replace it with, that I can use a d-beam type thing to control effects?PS I tried the SP-505 and although it had some cool features, it could NOT use the d-beam to control the effects like the SP-808. Any help would be appreciated.Any brand of a product is fine with me, but I am hoping to get something smaller that I can do computer based file management and backup. Members P79Master
you could use the Source Audio Hot Hand to control midi signals on any hardware or software based sampler that has a midi input:http://www.sourceaudio.net/products/hothand/USB for software Demo:
