Members ririzarry
Check out this tutorial from a guy at MIT - http://web.mit.edu/kumpf/www/guitarpickup.html. He uses piezo components from Radio Shack. Also, do a search on http://projectguitar.ibforums.com. You should find some threads on this as well. Members konsole
I'd love to have a crack at that. You can get those chips from loads of places. Although they all have slightly different names (JRC386D, LM386-N3 e.t.c) As long as you get a 8 pin dip package with 386 in it's name you should be fine. You can get them here : http://www.rapidonline.com/productinfo.aspx?tier1=Electronic+Components&tier2=Integrated+Circuits&tier3=Audio&tier4=Audio+power+ICs&moduleno=67347

Members mrperson
ok so after doing alot of research i'm gonna see if it will work if i combine the 2 designs. instead of having a piezo conected to the output im gonna use a driver (an 8k single coils) linked up and through in a dpbt switch and because i dont use the tone control im getting rod of that and replacing it with sustainer gain
