Andrew Bird is one of my favorite singer/songwriter composers to hit the scene in quite some time. His remarkable album Andrew Bird and the Mysterious Production of Eggs is a favorite. It's like an album I would make if I were...brilliant. Kind of bitterwseet when you come across those, isn't it? 2. My goold friend, banadmate, and former student Martin Dosh is now playing drums and keys with Andrew Bird. Dosh is also doing quite nicely with his solo, loop based stuff. Here they are together on Letterman, playing something that is more "modern rock" than most of Bird's fare. But the thrill of seeing my old buddy Martin on this stage never gets old.
