Members oldgitplayer
In today's Guardian there is an article about Lambert & Stamp, the management team that looked after The Who.Pete Townshend acknowledges their positive influence and guidance. One of the details mentioned that may be of interest to songwriters is as follows: Lambert fostered Pete Townshend to become the band’s resident composer, instilling him with confidence to reach for grander goals, among them the rock operas Tommy and Quadrophenia. Townshend says it was Lambert who understood the band’s audience. “You don’t give them what they want – you allow them to be,” the guitarist says. “You don’t try to change them – you affirm them.” The whole article is here: http://www.theguardian.com/music/201...r-daltrey-film
