So I was playing along with some music, and my phone (what my speaker was plugged into) fell. When it fell, the 3.5mm plug came out, and as I reached to plug it back in, the 3.5mm plug touched the 1/4in connector that was plugged into my guitar. I heard the buzz sound that you hear from the speaker when a live plug touches a surface. I am wondering, is it possible for that to have damaged my guitar in any way? Could it have sent a current through my guitar and hurt any of the electronics? Since there was electricity going through the 3.5mm plug, and it touched the metal on my connector which was plugged into my guitar. Strange question, I know, but my mind tends to wander with these things unless I ask someone about it.

Hello, fellow performers, fans and students! I've launched a video series for the solo singing guitarist, both professional and hobbyist, who'd like to know how another soloist goes about his work in rehearsal. The series takes the viewer through the determinations I make for each song I include in my repetoire. I'll cover topics such as choice of key, feel, meaning, vocal delivery, rehearsal and more. Here's the first episode: VIMEO: https://vimeo.com/412919123 YOUTUBE: In music & mirth, Richie Kaye www.richiekaye.com www.funtet.com

Learn a wee funk riff! Super fast video on some of the basic skills (and a couple of pro tips) on the fundamentals of funk guitar fingerpicked doublestops and incorporating muted strings into a groove. This tutorial will have you funking right away! Inspired by Cory Wong of Vulfpeck, though whereas he plays this way with a pick and funk strumming, my method uses fingerpicking, muted strings, and even a little bit of slap guitar! This is a fun one, enjoy!

I recently purchased a Boss DD-200 I programed 2 settings in the memory banks first one was quarter note delays and the second dotted eight note. delay, when I compared the 2 delays settings there was no difference in the delay timing, the dotted eighth note delay sound identical to the quarter note delays timing. I follow the setting suggested by Boss on the manual and still no difference in timing. there should be a noticeable difference in the delay time but it's not happening. Has anyone experience this issue?
