How many people do you have on your mailing list?

Mailing lists are another way to keep in contact with fans. It seems most people who listen to our genre of music don't read the paper, listen to the radio, or check up on band pages that much. Emails are the third best way to get a hold of them. The second best is phone calls. The first best is showing up to their house and dragging their asses to the show.

65,523 as of today on the list but we are a company that has built this list for over 5 years and it includes radio DJ's in multiple genres as well as press not just a fan list. We do have separate fan lists per client so if we added all of them together it would be well over 500,000 working double-opt-in emails.

about 3500 - all from CD Baby sales - it's taken 4 cds to get this far - i email or send a post card to each name when i release a new cd and get about 80% sales track - this is my 'bread & butter' list, since i rarely do gigs.

anyhoo, i recommend CD Baby

Spectacular!

Really a mailing list can be the most powerful thing a band can have. If you have a group of 2,000 fans emails who you know will buy your stuff when you send something out than bam thats a living right there and there are bands who have those and that is what you need to make a living in music. It is all about building and staying connected to your core fanbase.
