I normally use a Conn Helleberg in a gold plate, but just picked up the R&S Helleberg copy in a heavy weight. Haven't had the chance to try it on the horn yet, but with buzzing it feels just like my Conn. I'm a little curious to see if the heavy wall actually makes a difference in my playing or if it is all hype. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Members sunburstbasser Posted June 8, 2006 Members Share Posted June 8, 2006 The heavy mouthpieces do play differently than comparable regular mouthpieces for trumpet, supposedly a darker sound and better intonation.
