Members kickinbak
Hey guys! I'm in a position where i've sent a couple track to some artists and i've told them that they can use my tracks (rnb/hip-hop) for free in their songs, so long as i get credited as the producer/songwriter for my music. Is their any way i can make sure they legally have to credit me? I don't know if i could get them to sign anything as we are all in different cities and I send the files through email. Andy ideas? Members Altered Flesh
Get a contract written. Send for signature, upon reciept of signed contract send music. Before you do any of this, copyright anything you send out. Giving away your music for exposure seems like a great idea until someone makes 100K off something you wrote and is under no obligation to credit or pay you. Members kenm
I'm curious, since you gave them the tracks for free, what would you want if they didn't give you credit? Ken
