Hi

I´m going to have a track released on a compilation CD, and now they ask me what kind of deal I´m looking for. How many kinds of deals are there?

Maybe it is: Royalty based or onetimepayment...?

If royalty, how much? there is 26 tracks on this doubleCD.

If payedonceandneveragain, how much?

I dont know, I make music not money...(that was a joke, but sadly true...)

Please help

Hi

Maybe 100000 units.

They suggested 12% of my track wich means price/26 * 0.12.

Some people says its ok but i dont know really.

Lets say 100000 units will be sold, how much can I ask for?

The standard royalty rate is .07 per song per unit sold. at 100,000 units, that would be 7,000 dollars, to be split among the writers and the publisher at whichever rate you have worked out with them.
