Members EngineGuitarist
hopefully they get to keep some of the advance (not mega bucks either) then 6 months later after the album comes out they will tour and sell merchandise. this is where they will make money at first. but you better be on a good tour if you want some real dough. then, hopefully about a year after the album came out you should get some royalty money IF you sold a few million records. provided they didn't spend 1.5million on promotion. and if they did then you can at least still get your royalties from publishing. unless you signed that away. there are a million senarios and that is the reason books are written on this subject. go and buy "this business of music" or "All you need to know about the music business" they will teach you lots.
