Errrrrr, OK......

You may be over thinking it a bit too much. I have been singing semi-pro for about 18 years now doing pretty much every genre from 50s Rock n Roll, right up to Jason Mraz & Ed Sheeran..... I am fortunate enough to have never needed vocal training but can definitley see the benifit of "some" formal training. However, there absolutley is no substitute for simply packing the van and getting out there. I do around 40-50 songs most Friday & Saturday nights. Obviously the more 50s numbers you do means you will naturally do more songs as they are shorter, but basically I do 3x  50 minute sets plus about 15 mins for encores. All of the studio training you do can't prepare you for the sweat in the eyes, balls out, audience going mental environment that you may have to contend with. Then the next minute, you might be able to hear a pin drop whilst singing Babe by Styx, In your Eyes by George Benson or lady by Kenny Rogers. I know I will probably get crucified on here for these comments but honestly, I probably couldnt tell you if I was singing from my arse or my elbow. As with everything, you will get better and stronger with practice but it is also about mic technique, intonation and interaction with your audience. Cos lets face it..... they are the most important part of the equation.

Honestly, I would look into finding a good teacher in your area.  It's great that you know all these technical details, that shows you've already been doing your homework.  If you're just getting started, you really need someone to show you how to get going in the right direction.  I think that'd be the best thing for you.
