Members EightString
I enjoyed it. Very authentic "Frank", there.

Members Mr. Manicotti
Thanks guys. I will say this: Having very little "recording studio" experience, I was never really comfortable during this "session." The final product sounds okay, but having that music piped in through the headphones really threw me off. For some reason, it makes me go overboard -- I sing too loud, almost yelling at times. That's not really a problem for these (somewhat) up-tempo songs, but it ruins the slow ballads. Anyway, you learn as you go.
Moderators davie Posted January 12, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 12, 2012 I understand what you mean. I hate singing with headphones on. I can't really hear myself properly, even with monitoring. I tend to go off pitch a lot more with headphones than with speakers.
Members Mr. Manicotti
Yeah -- I ended up taking it off one ear so I could hear myself a little better. You probably get used to it the more you do it. If anyone has any tips or tricks they use in the studio, I'd like to hear them.
Members EightString
I have a tip. Try taking the headphones off of one ear. This works well for me. Oh, wait... I do this too.
