Fender Strat Pak with Frontman 15G Electric Guitar

Sound Quality

As stated above, I've owned the American Standard Strat with a much higher price tag mind you, and I cannot see a 'huge' difference in the sounds of the two. There are definitely differences but I'm not Eric Clapton. I play everything from hard rock to classical. It has a nice deep clean sound when the distortion is turned off in my opinion. I could use a bit more beefy distorted hard rock sound though. I think the amp sounds ok for it only being 15w. The only drawback though is the more you turn the volume up on the amp the less 'quality' the guitar sounds. I only use the amp to practice alone or with CD's. I'm going to try the suggested pickup upgrades as suggested on some of the other posts here. I may get back to you all on that. Maybe some Seymour Duncan Hotrails...

Reliability/Durability

So far so good. I've only had the guitar a few months. Like I said earlier, it does stay in tune well much to my surprise so I may consider playing it live if I had any problems with my primary live guitar. It seems well enough made to me and I hope like heck it lasts quite a few years.

Price/Value

General Comments

Since I've been playing guitar on and off for about 15 years now I've played quite a variety of guitars from the pure junk to the elite. I feel that overall, bearing in mind the price paid, that this guitar is a 10 for someone on a limited budget (like me) or a beginner.
