BBE Boosta Grande Clean Boost Effect Pedal

Sound Quality

I used this for the acoustic cover band, solo boost. The sound didn't have any noise, but this pedal definitely colors the sound, in a bad way. It's a class A/B amp. They are middle-of-the-road trade off between the transparency of class A and the power efficiency of class B. So it's no surprise that it's not as crisp and clean as some of the class A clean boost pedals. But those pedals also cost twice as much, or more.

The high end gets rolled off, resulting in a dull & spongy sort of tone. This is more obvious as you increase the gain. But you get what you paid for. This is an economy clean boost pedal. If you're on a tight budget, this does the job okay.

Reliability/Durability

Seems like it's very well built, although I didn't put it through any harsh conditions.

General Comments

Well built and nice design. Price is great, even comes with a power adapter. But you get what you paid for. If you want to go cheap, this is great. But if you already have a bunch of expensive pedals on your pedal board, save up for a better clean boost.
