After contacting many times m audio without success I decided just to change it. So I want a cheap $250 or less, controller with synth action. Members Ed A.
I have an Xboard 49 and I'd like to upgrade to the Xboard 61. The buttons are the problem on the Xboard 49, they are hard plastic and they seem to rattle. The buttons have been changed on the Xboard 61, they are now a more rubberized type of plastic that doesn't rattle. IMO, the only keyboard action that is better than the Emu boards is the Novation SL series that costs over twice as much. I had an Edirol PCM 80 and the Emu action is far superior. I wouldn't buy an M-Audio Oxygen 61 if you paid me.

Members Allerian
I am waiting for the new Korg K-61 board. A reasonable $149 on pre-order from Nova. I'll report what its like once they are in. http://www.korg.com/gear/info.asp?A_PROD_NO=KSERIES
Members Ed A.
I had a Korg K61 on preorder from Novamusik, but I canceled the order after Korg pushed back the release date (again) to sometime between July-September. I also had reservations about the build quality of the K61. I still think the Emu Xboard 61 is the best deal out there.
Members jazzwee
I have both an Oxygen and an XBoard (49). The Oxygen keys feel mushy. The Xboard has a better keyboard feel. The interface of the Xboard is also easier to use (for setting up program changes, etc.) compare to the Oxygen. You'll be happier with the XBoard. Members JacobEll
I also got a Xboard49 and can really recommend it - for the great keyb action. I failed to use it live since it has no "one-button-only" program change capability. This is however solved with the Xboard which I will most probably buy as well. What would stop me is if... o there is still no the expression pedal input. o the master slider still can not be set to send CC7. As the Xboard 49 stands, the slider only sends sysex msgs (device volume). Apart from that, this is a great keyboard.
Members orangefunk
I have just got the 49 key and find it's a nice controller... not quite as good as NOvations but a hell of a lot better than the Evolutions and Edirols out there. I didn't have any problems with buttons and knobs.. I think people must be really picky... I thought from previous posts I'd seen they must be really terrible but thats not my opinion at all...
