Kawai MP4 questions (also Yamaha P/CP-line comparison)

Hi again!

Ok, another stagepiano post... :)

I am on the lookout for a great stagepiano that is portable, great sounding and responds well.

The MP4 seems to fit this bill perfectly. I would appreciate if anyone how either has or have tried the MP4 could help me out here.

1: Does MP4 have half- and re-pedalling (like P140, rd-700sx etc.)?

2: Has anyone tried the Yamaha CP-33 yet? If so, how would this keyboard compare?

I hope the MP4 has a snappy keyboard action, as this is important for me.

Any good tips or advice?

Thanks for reading!

I read that the MP4 doesn't have string resonance, unlike ES4 and MP8. Is this the same string resonance effect that the MP9500 has?

Anyway, I didn't find the string resonance in MP9500 very useful, and ended up having it turned off.

If the ES4 has a new significantly improved sympathetic effect, it would be nice to know..

Then maybe I should get ES4 instead of MP4.

Thanks!

Hi!

Well, I've already read that thread (and countless others about the MP8/MP4/ES4, :) but it didn't say anything about what I am specifically wondering about.

Thanks anyway.

Half-pedalling/re-pedalling, and how much impact the string resonance effect makes on the overall sound (is it the same effect as in MP9500)?

Anyone?
