Members J3RK
I was playing around a bit today, and whipped up a couple of quick clips. Here's one of them. It's a pulse wave with PWM (controlled by LFO,) going into the Boogie Filter. I took the 12 and 18 db outputs, and looped them back into the two CV inputs to modulate the cutoff. I swept the cutoff and resonance via the control knobs. Simple, but I think it sounds pretty cool. This is the smoothest filter I've used, but it can also get pretty crazy. (rounded smooth crazy anyway) http://home.comcast.net/~r3cogniz3r/BoogieFilter.mp3
Members Awake77
Neat!! That's a pretty wild filter there... What do you use to sequence w/the modular? Can you hook it up to MIDI? (sorry for the ignorance, Ive only recently started getting interested in modular synths)
Members J3RK
Yes, well until tomorrow anyway. I just sold my MIDI to CV box. I'll be borrowing a new one on Sunday until the one I'm waiting for is released. (the MOTM 1650) Anyway, I used Energy XT to sequence this. I was playing it on the keyboard, but decided that I wanted to twist the knobs, so I whipped it up really quick in the piano roll editor. It's fun to patch things while you've got a sequence playing. I'll have to make another clip of the filter without the FM for comparison.
