keyboard recommendations

Hi guys, I'm a newbie on this forum....I'm actually more of a *gasp* guitarist, but I studied classical piano for 8 years as a kid and still play when I get the chance...which brings me to my question...

I've never had a real keyboard/synth...always just played real pianos....however, I'd like to have something I could play on again, and also use for recording purposes...i.e., interfacing to a DAW home computer type setup (which I'm also in the process of

trying to assemble).

Anyway, I don't know much about what's out there and I was wondering if you guys had any good bang-for-the-buck type keyboard recommendations...I don't need to scrape the bottom of the barrel, pricewise, but I don't need something over the top fancy either. My few criteria would probably be as follows:

- weighted or semi-weighted keys (I'm a piano guy and just like that better...)...and the closer to 88 keys, the better...

- digital interface to a mac or pc so I can record tracks with it

- sequencing capabilities

Obviously, if I can find something that has better-than-average sounds, that would be desirable....but I'm looking at this as more of a songwriting and practicing tool than anything.

Any thoughts appreciated!

Thanks,

Mike Z.

Check out the Alesis Fusion HD line man. Ive never played one personally, but for the price they seem killer. Digital outs, and they come in 61,73, and 88 Key versions. The Fusion has Virtual Analog, Physical Modelling, Rompler, Sequencer, and Hard Disc recorder built right in.

You can get the 61-key version for
