Members MarkShovel
The alien website demos are noise type sounds. There are some great Sci-Fi sounds in the factory bank. The XT has a very musical capability demonstrated by "King_Salem" on the second link. Go the the new Waldorf web page and register. You'll get access to the whole product family patch demos in the "soundcorner" area. Also, go the the Waldorf FTP server and under each product, there are audio demos. "King_Salem" is one of the audio demos in the FTP server. I am interested to see what the future brings for Waldorf. Mark(I've got the orange beast! Maybe a Yellow one is in my future.) Always did like that tune King Salem... If I didn't have the Poly Evolver Rack & Virus TI, the XT would have been a serious contender to add to my arsenal

Members Awake77
Ah, thanks for all the links!! The XT sounds really cool...I like how it can sound all harsh and jangly and then all of a sudden break out into a warm-ish pad. I was considering possibly offloading my K5000S (I really like it - but designing sounds just takes forever) for an XTK but now I dont know...they both sound completely different. Members mytee2.0
extreme pitch shifting is an EASY way to make it do that, degrade from a nice pad into a digital mess of diarrhea.

You'll never run out of sound designing fun on the XT... it's a deep mofo. There's a great editor for it that can create all kinds of "genetic offspring" programs by combining the properties of 2 patches in different ways to create a bunch of new ones. Members XorAxAx
I have a XT demo by Boele Gerkes (sp?) called shortened_days. I've been listening to that a couple of times each day. Can't get that tune out of my head. Heh. And I've owned an XTk for two weeks now!

Members CTB
Clusterchord, The links for your XT demos in the demos sticky thread aren't working. Do you still have those sounds online? Thanks!
