Members shaktisshadow
Cool, deseparation breeds creativity. In sf, that rent is tough. Im lookin for a room right now. Got synths, will travel.....
Members tucktronix
Yep, wrote the best of my tunes while I was unemployed. It's just that I had sooooo much time on my hands to devote to better development of ideas.
Members droolmaster0
I was unemployed for an entire year, about 5 years ago, and had to sell everything, including a 4 panel Serge system. So, I hope your unemployment lasts just long enough to be reallly productive

Members Jez
Being broke sucks. Stiffed by my friends, my job, my housemates, my creditors, sold all my kit, nearly died twice (thrice if you count the flash powder incident)... I have never felt more angry and murderous ever before, and I don't even have any instruments to write a song about it
Members pighood
Take a little jaunt to Landdewi Breffi. There's a chap there in rubber shorts named Daffyd Thomas. He'll be the one drinking a Bacardi & Coke. He's having a bad day.

Members Jez
to show my contempt for my "manager" after finally pushing me too far, I launched his metal wheelie bin a fair few feet into the air by explosive force. He's only fortunate it wasn't his vehicle. It wasn't big, it wasn't clever, and in retrospect I wish I hadn't, but it sure was fun at the time. Members BillyWa
Last year when I was unemployed, I actually bought a fair number of synths. In that spare time, though, I did a lot to improve my musical abilities, mostly by following and learning from other bands, but also from taking up percussion, sax, and harmonica. I don't really do my own tracks, so that was not really my goal, but I did add to several friends efforts.

No, I succeeded in blowing up his industrial waste bin. I THOUGHT about blowing up his car. But you tend to go to prison for that....

Members WhinyLittleRunt
Not having any money blows, dude. My situation was equally cool though; no more girlfriend, thus, tons of money in hand to buy whatever I wanted Although I'd rather be broke and alone than rich and with her! Members Awake77
Id rather be super-rich with an awesome girfriend and no job to take time away from the things I really like doing. I'm 1/3 the way there - got a great girl who encourages my music and started teaching herself piano so she could play the Z1 Money? I wish I had so much that I lost touch with reality... Being broke is a humbling experience and nothing but a royal pain in the ass. Money in modern society means a lot of things, and unfortunately what it equates to more than anything else is freedom. Members stikygum
Money does mean a lot of things, and for some money isn't a good thing. I've had a lesson or two in management, and realize money can go to your head. Everyone needs money to survive in a money driven society, too much can kill ya, if you don't have discipline. Members Crawling Wind
One thing about being truly broke is that you eleminate quite a bit of distraction. No money is no money. So many things we run around and spend money on are so pointless. If you have some cool gear, GAS is on the backburner. You use what you have and you really enjoy it.
