Members wheresgrant3
Saw them at SPAC (Saratoga Performing Arts Center)last night,... an incredible place to see any show. First off props to Bauhaus..... I haven't listened to Bauhaus since my college days. I had admiration for their music but I wasn't a real "fan". . I got there about 3 songs into their hour set and the mix was great. Definately much harder than I remember them. Dan Ash's guitar was thick, heavy and full of crunch. I instantly recognized "Endless Summer Of The Damned." as a new tune without ever hearing it before. Just had this aggressive edge to it.... sounded like Bauhaus on steroids. Peter Murphy seemed to be channeling Peter Gabriel. He was all over the stage... in front, stage left, right, behind the drum kit. At one pint he sat on his knees facing a stobe, arms point out in faux crucifition. What a great performance. Unfortunately they played to alot of empty seats as people stood outside the ampitheater, talking, getting high and trying to cool off in the 94 degree heat. NIN had some problems selling out the complex and I think it had largely to due with having Bauhaus on the bill. It was evident that many concert go-ers didn't know or didn't care about Bauhaus. Shame becuase it was a great performance. Of course NIN was amazing. I couldn't tell you the setlist... They played Terrible Lie, Wish, March of the Pigs, The Frail, Right Where You Belong, Closer, Hurt. I left shortly after the hour mark. I had a long drive back home an an early day for work this am. Charlie Clouser had a few midi controllers on stage, which he proceeded to smash, stand on, topple over:D . Behind him was a Modular. I was in the balcomy opposite him stage left some my best visual perspective was when he was on the large video screens. Original, inventive LED light show. I had never seen that before (last time I saw NIN was Lollapoolza 92'. Entire performance was an A+ in my book!
Members stikygum
Now that's more like it, smash the stupid midi controllers, not good synths like they used to do. Saw them in '95 with Robert Fripp, that was cool. I've heard their shows are more elaborate now with visuals and whatnot.

I crossed over to the other side while watching the Jim Rose Side Show Circus (or whatever it was called) which turned out not to be the best time to do such a thing and by the time my brother picked me up from the Amphitheater some 6 or 8 hours later I was completely gone. I remember waiting for him in the parking lot and watching migrating birds fly over in a V pattern. It was crazy, there would be the one row of birds and then the row would turn into three rows and then into five rows and then back into three rows and then back to the one. Rarely did I see things that were not actually there and usually just saw distorted images but that was one of those trips were it actually happened. Members robosinth
Wow, Bauhaus still around?? Didn't know they would comeback since they broke up so long ago in early 80's. Love and Rockets was great as well. Good to hear a great goth band still around "She's in Parties":thu:

Members hyperstationjr
I saw them in Jersey last Friday... Bauhaus was LOUD!!! Holy crap I couldn't hear anything until just before NIN went on. They played all the classics I think, all the one's I know anyway, though they didn't play a lot of the slower stuff ("Hollow Hills", "All We Ever Wanted", etc...) still a very good show. Again, the place was more than half empty, and only a few "gothy" types even knew who they were... really sad since they should have been the headliner... Peaches also opened up, but I missed that, my brother said they were pretty fun. I was kind of disappointed by NIN though. The guitarist was AWFUL. Good showman, but awful guitar work. He just kind of made noises... Also the keyboard stuff was boring... I'm kind of comparing to the "All that could have been" live album, but no Theremin noises, only ONE broken guitar and a badly bruised speaker... Also seemed like a short set... Trent looks JACKED though, geez... no more scrawny pansy industrial dweeb... he will eat your children!

Members tcpip
I saw Nails, Bauhaus and Peaches last night at the Tweeter Center (south of Boston). I agree with hyperstationjr, Bauhaus was way too LOUD and seemed to be mixed poorly!!! It was all bass and treble (nothing in the mid range). Peaches was so far off key it was almost funny. Everything about them was sloppy. The best part was when the lead singer did a strip tease and ran though the crowd giving lap dances. The XXX banner she was wearing was spot on! I was somewhat disappointed by Nails but they played a great set. They played for about 90 minutes and I'd never heard "down it it" or "dead souls" live before... that was very cool. One guitar was smashed, one keyboard thrown to the floor and one amp wrecked.... not too shabby. The visual effects were okay, not as good as the Fragile tour in '99. Was it worth the $50? Yeah, I think so.
Members blakeq
I saw them about a month ago, and I thought that their tour last year was way better from a performance as well as visual perspective. Portland, Oregon is where I saw the shows. I was blown away when I saw them on the Fragility tour years ago.
Members Bluenoise
Reznor and Murphy are currently doing a bunch of radio shows, where they play each other's songs and covers. You can find the files on torrent sites etc. but there's a page on the nails site showing pictures and videos of it. Damn good!!! Link : http://www.nin.com/current/radioshows/ The reworking of Head like a hole, for the first show was amazing.
