Trying to decide between control surfaces. Obviously there is a large price difference between the two units. I guess the real question is wether or not the Control 24 is worth the extra money... and with v5.1 how well does the d8b control/how integrated is the d8b's control ove Logic and Protools LE? Also, how do the Mackie mic pres compare to the Focusrite pres on the Control24? Any help would be.... well... helpful. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Anonymous Posted June 23, 2006 Share Posted June 23, 2006 Well considering the d8b is discontinued, only uses 8 faders in it's half ass HUI mode and is know for having expensive CPU and power supply problems. Plus you would have two monitors, kb's and mice or a switcher to deal with. The pre's in both are just okay so it would boil down to personal taste.
