Members HuskerDude
I have a G4 ibook running Kontakt, and I want to take my samples off of the internal HD (only 60g) and pop them on an external, firewire drive. I'd also be using this setup (maybe multiple HDs) for mp3s, movies, etc. to run back and forth between the iBook and Mac Mini in my "home theater". I'm looking in the 160gb range. Any of you guys use external FW drives for sample storage/use? Which ones? Are you happy with it?
Members CoreStudios
If it is a firewire400 connection on your apple ( Which it probably is ) then get a usb2.0 drive as they have a higher transfer rate of 20% more. Firewire 400 = 400mbpsUsb 2.0 = 480mbps And they'll be cheaper too !!! i got a 160gig freecom usb2.0 external for
