It's the same as nmedit but the name changed. Cool anyway - good to see they're getting somewhere :). This should make it possible to run the editor without hassle on OS X instead of using the beta and to run it on Windows 2000 (which it wouldn't do) and to run it on XP without using compatibility.

Cool to see that they developed their own interface editor thingy. If it was taken even further than that you could even consider programming brand new modules - however, it'd be a massive task to reverse-engineer it and to keep it stable.

Given that the patches are just a collection of 'module type X connected to here and here' descriptions, I don't think so.

Adding your own brand new modules is going to involve brand new firmware written from scratch in the modular itself. Do the modulars even have flash?

If it's anything like the G2 it does have flash which stores an OS and the patches.

Adding new modules would require either reverse-engineering the OS or convincing Clavia to release the source. In either case you're doing a lot of work for not much gain. You might as well just design an open source machine from the ground up.
