Members Synthwalker
Just wandering which box to go for, considering I'm looking for this nasty 80's puchy sound and a piece of history. Can the 9000 sound like the Linndrum when dumping Linndrum samples in it ?
Members elsongs
The Linn9000 isn't worth anything anymore, you can get the same thing and more (and better stability) with any Akai MPC (the first Akai MPC, the MPC-60, designed by Roger Linn himself, was essentially the successor to the Linn 9000). So if you want an authentic Linn Sound, get the Linn Drum or the more rare LM-1. Otherwise, get an Akai MPC with a bunch of Linn sounds. I have an MPC2000XL with a LinnDrum sound set. Members Synthwalker
do you think a 16 bit MPC2000 has the same punchy fat sound as a 8 bit Linn-9000 ?
