Members scarecrowbob
I like how they have a tape machine on stage. I've seen other pictures with the machine (photographic pictures), but I don't know much about the band. Any comment's on that machine? I found this, which was kind of interesting: http://www.tuug.fi/~jaakko/dm/keyboards.html
Members donaldcrunk
I just purchased Depeche Mode 101 last night (which is ridiculously long overdue for me, being that they are my favorite band) and they talked about how they used to put their 4 track in the middle of the stage to remind people that they don't have a drummer. martin gore is a hilarious individual, if you ask me. Members Don Solaris
Very nice tune. Wonder, how would they sound if Vince stayed in the band.
Members Avram
You know, they were supposed to gig here in Israel, but because of the war they cancelled the show... (Two days before...).Their fans were bloody disappointed.
Members Steph3dfx
While were at it, here's a nice vintage Flock of Seagulls Live performance in the early 80's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9s9WjlWilXU

Members leitner6
Alan Wilder + Flood = gold. Anyone watch the the short film on the new DVD re-release? They're interviewing Flood and there's a huge moog modular behind him. They also talk to Daniel Miller and there's a moog prodigy and an xpander. yummy. What always amazed me was that they don't really seem like big gear nerds like we are. They show up to a studio with Martin's demo tape. Then Alan and whoever the producer is work it out. But a lot of the sound seems to come from the producer.

I remember making the list of top tunes from Depeche Mode that i like most, and it turned Flood produced all of them (which i didnt know during making of the list). I also like Tim Simenon, he is one of my favourite producers but Flood can pull out more with Depeche Mode (just like Simenon can pull more in some of his other projects). Ben Hillier was little bit better than Simenon, with the Playing The Angel - more "darker" sound similar to days when Alan Wilder was in the band. But....Alan Wilder was a magician! Just listen to that snare drum in "World in my eyes". Who else could pull out something like that. Totally original drum sound.

Members Don Solaris
Sorry havent got the album at the moment. But if it is Daniel Miller, i can imagine must be a lot of pieeeoooow from his 700m.
Members orangefunk
I love World in My Eyes too... I had the 12"... may actually still have it... the snare sound is awesome... wonder what it was? Sounded a bit Kraftwerkish but with more balls... I reckon it must have ha something to do with the ol' ARP2600.

Love that tune as well, always had a bit of grittyness, very helpful to me when working out... Violator is my all-time fav DM album. "Policy Of Truth" still kicks major ass IMO:thu:
