Members dorme1
Anyone have any recommendations as far as recording within linux goes? Guest Anonymous
I have tried to use linux with recording and did not have very good luck. I just do not think linux is there yet with certain types of apps. But there are people out there trying to make it better overall and for better use with recording/music apps. If you have a Windows machine I would use that for recording/music for now. But also keep learning linux. Linux will keep on growing many more people are using it. I think it does have a shot at Microsoft. Its gonna take time and effort. More of it I mean.
Members kooki_sf
you could probably get jmax running on a linux box. but that wouldnt be so linear. osx is based on unix too..
Members zarquin
have a look at this list. http://linux-sound.org/hdr.html ardour is probably the best bet for multi-tracking...
Members Umbra
Why bother, stay with win/mac, linux is a pain and there isn't any decent software.
