In relation to this thread:

http://acapella.harmony-central.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1404077&perpage=20&pagenumber=1

Gus sent me a PM, to which I responded. I then made a message on the forums for him to check his private messages. I guess Gus is way too cool for school, because he has yet to respond, and my plea for him to even READ said message has mysteriously dissapeared from the forum itself.

Let's see what transpired via these private messages, shall we?

After making an initial objection over the fact that my posts were deleted without explanation, I get this little nugget with the subject heading entitled I deleted two of your posts

The contents of said message read as follows:

Happy now?

Wow...how mature and responsible! I allways thought that the people who are put in charge of this forum should raise the bar in setting an example for appropriate forumite behavior. This obnoxiousness only serves to lower that bar. But wait, there's more!

I then received a message entitled I edited yet another post., the body of which contained:

You did not type the words I edited so you may not feel offended, but I guess you needed to know.

Please read the:

I guess now I get thinly veiled threads for banning? To this I replied as follows:

How exactly does this apply to me? Chick Korea is obviously a troll. He claims to have an eye problem, and that he must type all in caps because he uses a public computer? What bull{censored}! The guy can afford a $2000 Roland Workstation, but cant afford a $300 computer for internet? Give me a break. If he really did have an eye problem, he would spare us all of the drama and go into the accessibility settings on his computer (you know, the one he uses to record his music), and set his fonts and contrast accordingly.

The guy makes a signature calling people "braindead idiots", then procedes to call me a braindead idiot directly in a thread, and I get a thinly veiled warning about the possibility of being banned? Come on! That's ridiculous.

It was after this that I asked Gus to check him PM. He would have nothing of it

End of story; end of lesson.

P.S. -- In one of your edited posts, didn't you tell Gus to "F*** off" or something similar?

I asked him if he was retarded.

And I'm not picking a fight, I'm wondering why he wont reply to my PM.

By creating this thread, you are definitely baiting him/attempting to embarrass him.

Also, in your first post in this thread you are stating he is immature, irresponsible, and obnoxious:

This obnoxiousness...

But you are right -- you aren't picking a fight at all!! :)

People's lives are pretty easy when they think internet forum moderation compares to fascism:

Friends of the Dictator are equally as guilty.

"Fascism is also typified by totalitarian attempts to impose state control over all aspects of life: political, social, cultural, and economic; in the examples given, by way of a strong, single-party government for enacting laws and a strong, sometimes brutal militia or police force for enforcing them."

Tee hee.

Him responding in this thread is just his latest attempt to do so!

I guess we need to go over this again, since you have obviously forgotten. I do not work for Korg.

It's funny that you just can't seem to stop talking about the OASYS.

My posting in this thread is attempting to squash discussion about the OASYS? Now I KNOW you have an OASYS-fixation!!!

Hey Gus, and new moderators in general. This forum probably does not work like your other forums. Spend some time here and learn how we work -- and who the posters are -- before beginning to impose any moderation regime. That way you won't chase off the regulars who are responsible for the good content here (and thereby get blamed for running the forum into the ground).

Just some advice. Take it or leave it.

(and oh yeah... in before lock!)

There IS no likeness. That's like comparing steps on a city street to climbing Mt. Everest:

To get to the grocery store I had to climb two steps. It was like I was climbing Mt. Everest!!!
