Members pcs999
I know it's an old as earth question, but I'm new to it so everyone here can help me out, please. I have SL-161 midi controller with only 2 MIDI OUT, no MIDI in. A 4X4 MIDIMAN interface, and PC Sonar 3 Producer Edition. How can I hook them up to make it work. Thanks:thu:
Members Meatball Fulton
Connect one of the SL-161 MIDI OUTs to the first MIDI IN on the MIDIman interface. Done.

Done. I did that and didn't hear any sound. MIDI MAN connected to PC UBS port and do you I need to adjust anything with Sonar 3?

This will enable those midi ports to show up in PC software applications. You will also have to:-- define that midi port in Sonar (Something like "Options", "Midi Devices") as a midi input Sonar should use-- in a Sonar midi track you will specify the midi input port and midi channel. Members packrat
And this is the point where you go away and find out what MIDI does and read some basic softsynth documentation. B>
