Members XbaseforAirbase Posted October 17, 2006 Members Share Posted October 17, 2006 Hi all, I have a Jomox XBASE09, I am considering swapping it for a Airbase99,mainly for the extra sounds and i can use my Keystation88 and PC to control it. Members Tony Scharf Posted October 17, 2006 Members Share Posted October 17, 2006 I have an XBase09, and swapping down to an AirBass, I would loose two things: the Sequencer and the knobs - both of which I consider core to the JoMoX's appeal. Now, I could (consievably) drive an AirBase from my MD...and use a midi controller that I program templates for... but that wouldnt be the same. Yeh,ive been thinking about the same thing really,what makes the 09 is all its knobs and Sequencer,i just wanted to add more sounds to it,but ive just found a way of doing it. There's a thing called XROM,a chip for the XBASE09,looks pretty easy to solder in,what it does is it allows you to put any sounds you want into the hihat section from your PC via midi,and its only 40 euros!!!!
