Members el-folie
...do you do classic arpeggiation on that thing? All I want is just those oldschool styles from the old Rolands like up/down/up&down. Believe me...I read the f****** manual, the online help, etc.. but there seems to be no way of getting a classic simple arp style like on the old machines, even not with programming the arp in the windows editor, I tried it. Classic JU-60 example: Press and hold two notes d1,f1 with arp up&down and 2 oct range. You will get something like this: d1-f1-d1up-f1up-d1up-f1 and repetition. As simple as it is - it doesn
Members MuzikB
This has nothing to do with the machine. You have to go in and adjust the ARP parameters. Fire up the editor and refer to pages 66 and 67 in the manual. Pay particular attention to accent, grid, and duration.
Members el-folie
Yes, I tried that before...but it seems impossible though. Maybe you would like to check it - just try the simple up&down line from my example, I messed around a lot with the editor.
Members MuzikB
To everybody reading this, I have also found that you cannot trigger the SH-201 arpeggiator from a remote keyboard. I'm using the T-Extreme to play the SH-201 and with the arpeggio on, no arpeggiation is being done. There's no arpeggio out function by the manual. All other functions work fine from the editor. Stand alone or Plug-In. Thankfully, Live has an arpeggiator.

Thinking about it, you might have used up all the polyphony with that arp setup.

Members el-folie
I did turn remote on. Doesn't work seem to work through Live. The SH-201 arpeggiator can only reacts to single note presses. It doesn't respond to chords. I compared it with Live's arpeggiator which does so for how ever many keys you press. I connected a remote keyboard directly to the 201, then it works. Yes - that

Members el-folie
Maybe if you program all the note points on the grid. Not great for performance but preparation is what may be needed. QUOTE] That seems the only way so far...unfortunately...but I waaay prefer it like it was in the old Juno days - switch it on and make music. Well maybe I should go for a Juno-6, I think I

Members el-folie
I also like old&new technology but I think in the synth department, I must more and more accept that I just love the old machines. My first synth was digital CASIO CT-32 or so, can
