Members vitulano
Hello guys, i am writing with this purpose: i would like to know if there is some other Nord Electro 2 owner who, as myself, is confused with the so called

Members carbon111
I think it sounds closer to a real leslie than it did before if that helps - I have a buddy who plays a real Hammond M3 through a Leslie. But you'll never get all the weird echoes in a room you'd get from a real rotating speaker anyway The Electro's is not the best leslie sim I've ever heard but its much better than the old one...by way of comparison, the Nord Leslie sim is much better than the one in my Kurzweil PC2R, for that matter, so is the tonewheel modeling
Members Mook
But you'll never get all the weird echoes in a room you'd get from a real rotating speaker anyway Damn, haven't they simulated that yet?
Members pink floyd cramer
I think the latest sim is too thin-sounding in the higher range- esp. compared to Leslie 760 and 22 AND Boss RT-20 which other than the thinness factor is an inferior sim. I am going to try the previous Electro sim.

Members Outkaster
If you have never played a real Hammond then you have no idea whether what you're hearing is good or not. There are a couple of guys here who have played a real Hammond and they're sure to come in here and tell you whether or not you should like what you're hearing from your Electro. So, until then, just stand by. There you go starting {censored} again. I bet no one was going to come in here and say anything but you started. Guess what......we will still stand by what we said on the other thread. Leslie sims are a mute point anyway.
Members cl516
yeah sorry Vitulano, that's about the best 'advice' you're gonna get around here regarding organs. they're just gonna ask you if you've played a real one, why not, that the real experience is infinitely better, and whether a clone leslie is good doesn't matter because only the real experience counts. wish i could help you, but i disliked my recently acquired electro2 organs so much that i returned it. the hammond xk1 sounded great but i returned that too. but my opinion doesn't matter because i don't get to regularly play a real hammond B3. so there you go, Vitulano. Members Roald
I also think the original lesliesim sounded marginally better than the 'speed-switchable' version, can't say whether that is more accurate or not, but something got a little tiny bit worse. I do like the new acoustic pianos way, way, WAY better, so I would not recommend downgrading except when you play organ only.

Members Roald
no I think you are right, though it is marginal, and it may have to do with the fact that when you play the instrument so much, you get too "used to" the sound that it becomes "wrong" when it just changes. The new acoustics won't load in the old OS. You also need the old sample files, check out the Electro yahoogroup if you dont have the files. Members niacin
might have to do with whether you're running it in mono or stereo. Just a thought. I'd forget aiming at sounding like the real thing. Get something that is musical to YOUR ears, which the new Nord sim clearly is not. I've messed around with a real Hammond into the Boss RT-20 and got some good results.
